A growing young family needing their home to grow with them saw a complete gut and reconfiguration of this home in Ōtumoetai, Tauranga. This included moving the kitchen from one end of the house and closing in the back entry transforming it into the master ensuite. Being an older home meant that it had ‘good bones’ but no insulation. This was remedied together with updated wiring, plumbing and wall linings throughout. Completing the transformation was a bathroom upgrade ensuring privacy and comfort as the clients’ children get older.
By reimagining the existing footprint, we transformed the house into a modern living space that will serve as a family home for many years to come. The renovation featured upgraded modern cabinetry and appliances in the kitchen and laundry with stylish remodels of the bathroom and ensuite. This created a fresh, relaxing space with a sleek design and most importantly, a warm, dry home.
